Fire

 

 

Mr Kelly is the House Leader for Parkwood Academy’s hottest house, Fire. Fire students are easily recognised around the Academy by their red Fire badge. This year after a rigorous application procedure the two Fire house captains chosen were Bryn and Nicole, while Ethan and Jessica take up the roles of Fire house vice-captains. Each Fire tutor provides a representative to sit on the Fire house council with the house captains. These students meet once a half term with Mr Kelly to discuss improvements that can be made to the Academy.

Fire students chose the Sheffield Children’s Hospital as the house charity. Fire students have organised many charity events including a very successful cake sale in order to raise money for the hospital’s Clown Doctors Appeal. The current total for this year has topped £300.

When it comes to intra Academy sporting competitions, Fire house has a very successful record and is currently sports day champions! The other houses better watch out again this year as if you mess with Fire you’re going to get burned!
