Parkwood Academy are holding a “Wear It Pink” day in aid of breast cancer. 

This is a national campaign aimed to heighten awareness of this fatal disease, which affects one in eight women in the UK, whilst supporting research into improving diagnosis techniques and treatment. 

We are asking students to come in non-uniform on Friday 14^th October, and donate 50p towards breast cancer research. We would like to encourage all students and staff to wear something pink on this day, to show their support for the charity. This could be a small item, such as a pink tie, or an entire outfit- the pinker the better!
