We will have high expectations throughout the academy. All members of our community will set themselves demanding goals and will take personal responsibility for being imaginative, determined and resilient in pursuing them. The academy will provide a wider view that opens up everyone’s horizons, develops their aspirations and increases their awareness of opportunities. 

Developing Flexible Approaches

We value the individuality and uniqueness of each student and we know that one size does not fit all. Therefore we will be flexible in adapting our approaches constructing our teaching and other aspects of academy life around students’ strengths rather than their weaknesses in order to foster the desire to learn and the ability to learn independently.

Realising Our Full Potential

Staff and students alike have the right to be the best they can be and the entitlement to receive the support they need. It is an entitlement that brings with it responsibilities. We see it as our duty to play our part in unlocking the wealth of potential inside each one of us by building confidence; breaking down barriers; instilling an expectation of success; and creating a positive climate for learning.
