Taking Leadership Roles

We will create an academy where everyone (students, teachers, SLT, non-teaching staff, parents and governors) understands that there are times and situations where it is appropriate for them to assume a leadership role. Staff and students will become increasingly proactive and confident in taking leadership roles.

Learning Reflectively

Staff and students alike are committed to becoming reflective learners who take ownership of their learning; and who are both self-critical and determined to learn from each other. The academy will be a place that provides motivating learning experiences and a working environment that unlocks everyone’s potential and enables us to learn from each other so that we all leave here having grown and developed as people.

Being Creative and Open Minded

We want to build an environment where everyone uses their imagination; keeps an open mind; is prepared to think about things from a different angle; works dynamically and collaboratively; is committed to listening to other people’s ideas; knows their ideas will be valued; is excited about new possibilities; and isn’t frightened to take risks.
