Building Confidence and Self-esteem

Whether we are staff or students we will seize our chance to make a success of our time at the academy. We will do this by pushing ourselves, aiming high and not letting anything interfere with our goals. We will all take responsibility for building the self-esteem and confidence that are the foundations of learning and effective practice. We will focus on our strengths, work on our weaknesses and learn from our mistakes.

Creating Opportunity and Fairness

Everyone deserves to be treated in a fair and equal way. Realising individual potential depends on it. We all have the right to be listened to; for our opinions to be heard; to be valued as individuals; to be supported when we need it; to feel significant; and to be ourselves. And we are all responsible for respecting and upholding the rights of those around us.

Taking Personal Responsibility

We want everyone to display commitment, self-discipline and determination; to take personal ownership for their development; to accept responsibility for their choices; and to have high expectations of themselves.  This will enable everyone to operate for the greater good of themselves, the academy and our community.
