Specialist in languages & sport

Parkwood Academy has a joint specialism in languages and sport. This means that opportunities in each of these two areas are greatly enhanced. It also means that sport and languages permeate the academy and are used to help improve education across all areas of the curriculum.

There is a wide range of languages taught and supported. The languages specialism enables us to develop a global dimension to the academy and to integrate the diversity of our student population.

Sport is a natural motivator. Parkwood Academy offers a wide variety of courses and the chance to participate in competitive team and individual events. The Sport Leadership Academy is recognised throughout Sheffield as an outstanding example of how young people can take on leadership roles and achieve great things as a result.
