Key Stage 4 at Parkwood Academy

In Key Stage 4 students are focused on gaining qualifications that will enable them to succeed after leaving the academy.

A full range of qualifications are targeted in addition to GCSEs. Students are offered courses within pathways that are appropriate to their abilities, aptitudes, likes and dislikes.

English and Maths are at the heart of the curriculum and are vital to progression into college and later into university and the workplace.

Throughout the academy students receive programmes of personal, social and health education, cititizenship education and careers guidance. The Gifted and Talented and Aim Higher programmes ensure that students are challenged to achieve at the very highest level and that they are encouraged at all times to set their sights high.
