Parkwood Academy is a diverse and vibrant community. The department, itself, is strong and vibrant and is growing rapidly. Students are increasingly enjoying strong GCSE results.  From September 2017, the department will become a core subject, reflecting the progress, enjoyment and success that all learners are demonstrating.

(Biology – 88%, Chemistry – 96%, Physics – 88%), Maths 55% A*-C, English Language – 50%

English Literature 59% A*-C, Religious Studies 62% A*-C, History – 57% and Geography – 53%

As Director of Mathematics, reporting to the Headteacher and Regional Educational Director, you will be part of the Secondary Academic Team and will work closely with other Directors to drive school improvement, you will be responsible for continuing success at all key stages against a background of curriculum change and exam reform. You will also work in conjunction with the Subject Leader for Mathematics providing strategic leadership for the subject area.

For this key role, you will be an outstanding teacher, delivering good and outstanding lessons, an excellent team player and a confident, creative and inspirational leader with up to date subject knowledge and a track record of success in maximising student progress to lead the Mathematics curriculum. We seek a professional who is committed to academic excellence and helping every child succeed, who will be responsible for driving the teaching and learning agenda throughout the Mathematics curriculum in KS3 & 4

Subject Leader – Modern Foreign Languages – Full time

We are seeking to appoint a Subject Leader for Modern Foreign Languages. The successful candidate will work closely with our MFL teacher to drive this small department forward and continue with the excellent results achieved at Parkwood Academy

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Teacher of Spanish to join our dedicated, supportive and enthusiastic Modern Foreign Languages team. The successful candidate will teach Spanish at KS3 and KS4 with the potential exciting opportunity to input into KS2. The ability to teach French would be advantageous but not essential.
